Reviews
I live a half a mile from this restaurant but hadn't gone yet. Everything was amazing. We went early so we got right in. The ambiance is very comfortable and chic, the service was amazing and the food was fabulous! I went with my mom and she got the filet mignon - I got the eggplant parmesan and we started with the caprese. We also had a house margarita and prosecco. (Thursday nights is half off bubbly drinks 🥂). I asked the chef to come out to give him compliments. I don't do that often, but everything was perfect. Amy was our server and Beto was the chef. Clearly if you've read this far, you will know that I 100% recommend Bistro Baffi!
The lasagna is the best I’ve ever had, pizza was amazing and my girl had the seafood dish. She said it was very fresh and service top-notch. They care about the experience and it shows, and the place looks like you’re in a cafe in Italy. Come for the food and stay for the experience.
We finally went in on Thursday night after driving by a few times. Had been to the original ages ago. Had a delightful evening. Very friendly service and terrific food. Great portions for food and wine, compared to many restaurants nowadays. We'll be back.
I have traveled for a living now for over 20 years, including 40 US States and 26 other countries. The one thing that stood out beyond everything was the variety of flavors and food around the world. I look for local more family owned places because it's normally unique and a different flavor of something you know. I ordered the Lamb Risotto for dinner, and I cannot explain the flavors and how well cooked the lamb in a amazing presentation with impeccable service! The owners created a good vibe and ambiance for a great comfort meal cooked from scratch for each order. If you are near, give this place a chance.
Decided to “try that bistro” I drive by every day and am I happy I finally did! Not only was Tina a wonderful hostess, and barkeep, but the food was obviously made with pride, down to the homemade bread! Tina was so welcoming it felt like I’ve always known her- to find out her old location in Burien was on the same street I grew up on! Lovely place, calm, welcoming and the feeling of being cared for.
I honestly really want to like this place. It's a great looking place that's walkable for me. The reputation from the old location was great but the food is not great (my last dish was over salted, my pop was flat, the chianti was sour), I never knew who my server was (3 waited on us). Been there twice and have been disappointed both times.
The decor inside is very cute, is great for say a date night or dinner with a friend. The service we received was very off putting and minimal. Our server didn't say hello, introduce herself, or say anything other than "mhmm" once while taking our order. Our cokes were also flat. The bruschetta was very very dry and thick, making it difficult to eat. The caprese was very good. The mac and cheese bites were mediocre. The margarita pizza was not great, the dough was 75% cooked, so it was very doughy along with not a lot of flavor. The best part of the meal being sliced tomato and cheese is unfortunate. Unlikely to return. They also include the merchant processing fee to your bill, which is weird since no reputable businesses do that. I wonder what were to happen if I wanted to pay cash.
My date and I were seated after a few minutes.
Waited to order for about 25 minutes before we decided that we had been forgotten about and left to go elsewhere.
The bread was good.
Disappointing because the food looked great. I might have ordered the $12,000 bottle of wine, who knows?
